Research Interest

My research interests are in the areas of race relations, African/Black psychology, psychosocial stress, academic achievement among African American College students.  I am currently engaged in projects exploring 1) the perceptions of race relations among college students, 2) the effects of congruent and incongruent student-teacher relations, and 3) the psychological and physiological effects of perceived racism.
